These are: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart. Darwin is the capital city of the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is the capital city of Australia, in Canberra. Many people confuse Australia’s capital city with Sydney. However, many people don’t travel the country to see the capital cities of all states. Instead they go to towns and other areas which has made Australia such a brilliant touring destination.
